I’m a passionate believer that HR should support, develop and add value to a business. I started PMP in 2015, with the goal of helping small businesses cut back on the bureaucracy and red tape involved in so many HR processes, and develop HR solutions to make a noticeable, positive impact on business performance.

10 years ago, I shunned my northern roots, moved to London and established myself as an HR Business Partner across Hospitality and Media. I always focus on operating at a commercial level, supporting the development and growth of the business, and doing so with personality and humour (even if I do say so myself).
I’ve been partnering with business owners and leaders for over 10 years providing commercial and importantly practical HR support and advice.
Working in various sectors including technology, healthcare and advertising across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. I get a huge amount of satisfaction from seeing small businesses grow and develop their people and demonstrating how HR can add real value.
I have 10 years of experience in Reward for various blue chip companies, and hold the CIPD Advanced Certificate in Reward Management. I've had the fortune to have a varied career, including stints as a Business Partner in both HR and Internal Communications.
As well as writing blogs and working on pay and benefits projects for PMP, I have a secret double-life as a rock and metal journalist - which people can usually guess from my lush, flowing locks...
